Edmonton's trendiest and funkiest Ave. is also a quick jaunt from the hostel whether you're in the mood to walk, bus, taxi or LRT-it there! We're a block away from the Central LRT station (Light Rail Transit - Edmonton's version of the subway!) which connects to the University of Alberta, the Commonwealth stadium, Rexall Place (home of the Edmonton Oilers) and the rest of downtown.
A major transit stop is located just a few blocks away which provides service to almost anywhere in Edmonton! There's also an express bus to West Edmonton Mall that you can catch a block away and it only takes 25 minutes!
Airport: Take the Sky Shuttle Downtown (http://www.edmontontaxiservicegroup.com/skyshuttle/index.html) and request to be dropped off at GO Backpackers Hostel. $15 one way, takes about 45 minutes. A taxi will cost you about $60. Go for the cheaper option! It's easy!
Greyhound Station: 8-minute walk! When you come out of the station doors, you'll be on 103rd street. GO south until you reach 100th Avenue. Turn left. Walk a block and look out for our sign. We'll be on your right hand side. It's also a quick 3-minute taxi ride (should cost you about $7)
Red Arrow Bus: 2 blocks away - literally a 3 minute walk! GO east on 100th Avenue. We'll be on your right at the curve of 102nd street!
Train Station: Walking isn't really an option, but a taxi ride should get you to us in about 12 minutes (should cost you about $15-$20). If you're a transit taker, hop onto bus #12 to Kingsway Garden Mall, then switch to bus #9. Get off the Edmonton Journal Building and walk 1 block west, turn right on 102 street and we'll be directly in front of you (a little to your right!)
